Seeing Is Not Necessarily Believing

We believe that seeing is believing, when in fact it’s what we hear that turns into what we believe.  Think about it… the stuff we’re taught early in life we didn’t have to see, but we heard it and believed it.  Even as adults we don’t need to see it in order to believe. We believe more of what we hear than of what we see.

“So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” – bible.com/12/rom.10.17.asv

Seeing is not believing.  That means faith, your faith, is not based upon what we see.  It’s based upon what we hear which will then produce what we see.  The question one must ask themselves is what am I hearing? The uncommon (no-longer-common) ask how can I change what I’m hearing so that I can change what I’m believing and thusly what I’m seeing.
